The reason for an update of the urban design of the zone Nové Košariská – Malá voda, Dunajská Lužná is its desired function predominantly for the purposes of public and individual recreation. This intention complies with the update of the zoning plan of the residential zone Dunajská Lužná as of 2006, regulating the principal traffic network, the concept of the utility infrastructure, and determining the basic regulations for the area.
