The residential zone Dúbravčice – east is designed in the form of a compact structure unifying the heterogeneous nature of the location’s surroundings. The surface of the plot under consideration totals approximately 14.5 hectares. The main idea in the search for a composition in terms of substance and space and a solution in terms of function and disposition was to create a full-value urban environment with a distinctive hierarchy of the individual premises divided into 3 sections: public premises for traffic and social life with shops and cafés are situated along the main road; inner blocks with sidewalks open to traffic and playgrounds are defined as semi-public premises for daily use; and inner blocks with a predominantly natural character.
